Select Sourcing Solutions LLC wants BEAM NOTE, both the browser extension and the website at beamnoteapp.com, to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
BEAM NOTE is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We have not yet published a formal conformance report (VPAT/ACR); one will be provided on request once an external evaluation has been completed.
BEAM NOTE is designed to work with current versions of Google Chrome on Windows and macOS, together with the screen readers commonly used with Chrome (NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS). The website relies on standard HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA.
BEAM NOTE draws notes on top of web pages we do not control. Where a page itself is not accessible, we cannot make the notes attached to it fully accessible. The laser connector lines and colored markers are visual aids; the same information is available in text form in the panel's lists.
We assess accessibility by self-evaluation using manual and automated tests in current Chrome with the screen readers listed above. We have not yet commissioned an external evaluation.
If you meet an accessibility barrier in BEAM NOTE, please tell us at support@beamnoteapp.com. Say which page or feature it was and, if you can, what assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to propose a fix or workaround within 14 business days.
We will update this statement as the product changes. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
